We were on our way back from Catalina, at the heliport. It's a small little place with an open concrete apron big enough to take 2 or 3 helicopters, tops. You wait for the flight for half an hour, twice as long as the flight itself.

I had to go to the restroom. The restroom was around to the side, and was shared with a Mexican restaurant and cantina. Not exactly high class, but it served its purpose.

Yes, I carried my camera to the restroom. I take it everywhere. Not always because I want to take pictures, but because I don't like leaving it to be stolen. So I had it with me.

On a post just outside the restrooms stood a flat metal weather cock. It was up high, above my head. On my way back out, I stopped and took a few pictures. I guess there hadn't been much weather recently, because it had cobwebs on it.

After taking pictures of it, I went over to the helicopter pad, violated a number of FAA regulations by walking across it by myself and strolled on the pebbled beach (pictures in another post, maybe).
