n. the frustration of photographing something amazing when thousands of identical photos already exist—the same sunset, the same waterfall, the same curve of a hip, the same closeup of an eye—which can turn a unique subject into something hollow and pulpy and cheap, like a mass-produced piece of furniture you happen to have assembled yourself.

This is the classic example. The Disney Concert Hall in downtown LA. I took some really good photos of it during an outing with my son. It's one of those places where it is really hard not to take a good photo. Zillions of others have taken wonderful photos of this exact same place.

I still like it.
