Rear Window

This was taken in Laguna Beach, a lovely seaside town with lots of art and gays. Along with the art are dozens of small restaurants, each offering its own experience and unique flavors.

We had been down in the area having a bit of fun and I decided to walk a little between the buildings. The backs of buildings are always different from the front; they don't present the same character or ambiance, and are not nearly as nice.

This was the back of an antique store, I believe. The alley was deserted and I stopped to take a picture of the barred window in the back. The ivy was growing naturally, and seemed such a lovely contrast to the red brick, it caught my eye.

It was a hot day, I remember, even at the beach. There is a gelato place just two blocks from here, and I dropped by there. There was a line of people from the beach. The ice cream was unusually thick and rich. I got chocolate, I remember. Duh. I usually get chocolate.
