Red Clouds

I had just driven home. It takes me about a half hour to get home, and some of the drive is pretty, some not so pretty. But at certain times of the year, the drive home is at or near the time of sunset.
Sunsets can be so beautiful, and yet because they occur every darn day, they are incredibly mundane. They happen over and over again, and absolutely everyone has them. Some professional photography sites I have seen actually ban photos of sunsets.
Still, I had just arrived at home and the sun on the clouds was gorgeous. The red was partly caused by the low sun, partly because of smog. This day it was less smog and more just sinking sun. I live fairly close to the corner of my street and took a short walk to where I could see the red clouds a little better. I brought my camera.
Sunsets, while mundane, are also very transient. The colors and beauty come and go in just a few minutes. This one changed from the time I drove down my street to the point where I walked to the corner and took the picture.
It really was beautiful, but when I saw the photo it had a bit of that mundane photo look. So I tweaked it in photoshop to make it more interesting. Can you tell what I did?
(It's upside down).
